For this podcast project, the students in the Rêveurs group worked on an etiological tale that explains why and how fish became mute, and why the sole evolved into this somewhat strange-looking fish.
Before recording, they first worked on understanding the text and, in particular, discovered the meaning of several idiomatic expressions. They also worked on verb conjugation, especially the narrative tenses (imperfect, simple past, and perfect), as well as the use of logical connectors.
Next, they practiced reading the text, focusing on intonation and pronunciation, and the characters’ performances.
To create an audio version of the tale, the students also recorded the sounds used to illustrate the story themselves.
Finally, they recorded the reading of the tale over several sessions. The group was organized as follows: 4 storytellers (1 narrator and 3 characters) and 2 technical students.
They worked hard, with enthusiasm and dedication, and they are very happy to share the result with you.
